Walk a Mile In My Shoes: Youth Perspectives on Familial Incarceration

A FREE community event that explores youth perspectives on the impact of having a family member incarcerated. Through poetry, theater, and visual art, youth will share stories of struggle, courage, and triumph. Their writing and visual art are inspired by the Children of Incarcerated Parents Bill of Rights (sfcipp.typepad.com).

Participating Community Works programs include: Project WHAT!, TAFI (Teens Affected by Familial Incarceration), and ROOTS programs at Balboa High School, El Cerrito High School, International Studies High School in San Francisco, and Edna Brewer Middle School in Oakland.
